Things I see as a member of an organisation and as a director of an organisation - these should share the same value in nature. However, someone has to take up a role of clarifying policies and directions. Finding these require experiences and keen judgment, and also understanding unmet needs, and the most important thing is to have somebody, not necessarily directors, who can suggest improvements.
By switching to the holdings company system, we are shifting to more horizontal management. We do not have a seniority rule nor academic-oriented promotion. We take in whatever which we think has worth. We take out thoroughly unworthy things. We always value recognition of things which seem hidden within organization and are hard to notice or not often talked about.
