UTN Privacy Policy
We have a responsibility to ensure that information about our customers ("personal information") which Nippon Data Corporation and its related companies ("UTN group companies") collect from our customers through UTN group companies' websites ("Our websites") via form or email is protected in an appropriate manner. Please note that principle for handling personal information shall be subject to the personal information protection policy.

Basic Policy

1. UTN group companies strive to avoid violation of individual rights or profit by obtaining, retaining, using or disclosing personal information users of our websites.

2. Normally, users of our websites are able to visit them without disclosing personal information. Personal information identifying users of our websites is not collected simply by visiting our websites.

3. UTN group companies take measures to protect personal information collected from users of our websites by implementing enhanced security measures in order to prevent leakage, loss, corruption or falsification of personal information and prevent unauthorised access to personal information.

4. UTN group companies do not provide our companies, our related companies, our outsourcing companies, our business partners or any other third parties which are not consigned by our companies or our related companies with personal information concerning users of our websites, except where there is a legitimate reason or with prior consent of these users. Please note, however, that we provide third parties with personal information of users of our websites without prior consent of these users in the following circumstances;

1) In case of legal claim according to the laws and ordinances of Japan or other countries.

2) In case of necessity for protecting human lives, health and possession, and when there is difficulty in obtaining the consent of the users of our websites.

3) In case that government agencies, local authorities or subcontractors need to perform their duties under laws and ordinances, and that obtaining consent of users of our websites leads to poor performance of these duties.

5. In case that UTN group companies provide third parties with personal information of users of our websites, the prevention of leakage or re-provision of personal information from the third parties is conducted by contractual obligation except for special circumstances.

6. UTN group companies use personal information of users of our websites within the scope necessary for execution of the contract / agreement between users of our websites and our companies or related companies.

7. The relevant protection policy of personal information is prioritised in case that each content is referred to or linked to its own protection policy of personal information individually.

8. UTN group companies observe statutes or any other rules on handling of personal information of users of our websites, and continue to review and improve the content of protection policy of personal information.

9. UTN group companies notify officially those who are engaged in the UTN group companies, such as directors, employees, temporary staff, part-time workers of "protection guideline of personal information", and provide clear guidance. Information Protection in Transmission

UTN group companies strive to protect information in transmission by encrypting, if necessary, transmitted data using encryption technology in cases where obtaining personal information of users of our websites.
Providing Personal Information

1. In principle, UTN group companies do not require personal information of users of our websites when the visit our websites. We obtain personal information with advance informed agreement and in an appropriate manner.

2. There is a case that personal information of users of our websites is required when using services provided in our websites. UTN group companies, then, explain the purpose of usage for personal information and obtain it with prior consent from users of our websites.

3. UTN group companies do not use personal information of users of our websites outside the scope of the purpose stated when being collected. In case of necessity of using outside the scope of the agreed purpose, we re-inform to obtain approval.

4. Unless otherwise agreed, the relevant personal information is not provided or left to third parties. UTN group companies provide a clear guidance to third parties when we leave personal information to them.

5. Personal information passing is treated with special care and such records are preserved. Scrapping or return of personal information, after its termination of use are also treated with special care and such records are preserved.

6. Users of our websites are entitle to confirm the content of their own personal information or request UTN group companies to delete or modify the information. Those requests are guaranteed to be treated in an appropriate manner.

Please note that UTN group companies collect access status log data to the relevant websites. This access log data includes the IP addresses of browsers, browser types and source information our websites, this data does not identify individual users of our websites.

Cookie (Cookies provide a way for the web server in the Internet to keep and manage the information to identify accessed users) can be used in the our websites for the following purposes;

- In order to change the content or display of our websites, and to enable for those who use our websites to customise them to their own requirements.

- In order to collect information to maintain statistical information and analyse information so that an understanding of usage status or access status of the our websites is kept updated.
